Shooting Target

Spin Cycle Shooting Target

Ready for some target practice? Here are some tips on choosing between moving and stationary targets, single shooter and dueling targets, and more.

Moving Targets vs. Stationary

Moving targets present more of a challenge, especially if the movement is random. They test your reflexes and hone your ability to locate the target and readjust after every shot. For the shooter looking for fast action and unpredictable target movement, a ground bouncing target is one of the best options. They come in different shapes and sizes, and each one reacts differently to your shots. Ground bouncing targets can fly, bounce, roll, and run every time you shoot them. No two shots are the same.

Stationary targets are best for shooters who are not as concerned with rapid target acquisition. The target is predictable and easy to locate.

Single Shooter and Dueling Targets

Some shooting targets allow you to duel with a partner in head-to-head competition for an extra dose of fun. With spin cycle targets, you can duel by keeping your side spinning or stopping your opponent. Spin targets challenge you to find the target rapidly as it spins around. Most duel shooting targets can also be used for single shooter target practice for days when you’re on your own.

Other Tips

Make sure you choose a target size that fits your caliber. If you choose a pop-up target, look for one with an auto reset function. That way you can keep shooting without stopping to manually reset the targets.
