This past December, the KillZone Hunting team worked together to collect clothes and money for the Boys and Girls Club of Minnesota. The club hosted a 2-day winter camp on December 26-27 at Camp Voyageur in Mound, MN, where at-risk youth could get away from the pressures of life at home and enjoy being out in nature.

Some of these kids don’t have a lot, so the opportunity to come to a camp like this is a huge treat. The program director sent us the following summary of the retreat:

“Winter camp was a huge success! Twenty-five campers camped out and enjoyed two fun-filled days at Voyageur. They participated in outdoor survival class, learned about birds and took a nature hike up to our Chick-kitty landing, and were able to sit and have birds land on their heads! They also did some animal tracking and were able to hike across the lake into the other 30 acres we own, called New New England. While they were across the lake, they were able to find coyote tracks and check out the beaver dam. They also enjoyed making their own pizzas for dinner.”

Also, as you can see by the picture above, the kids were having fun in an “8-person” Turret blind???

We love hearing from our customers! Thanks to Matt for sending us this note about his new Turret Pop-Up ground blind from KillZone Hunting:

“I posted some pics of the Open Woods camo on AT.com from when I was out hunting yesterday. This has to be one of the best camo patterns available for hunting blinds.”

Matt is a bowhunter who bought one of our KillZone Turret ground blinds with the new Open Woods camo pattern. The Turret blind is small enough to blend in easily with its surroundings but large enough for drawing a bow. Matt said, “There’s enough room to draw inside for one hunter. If you sit more towards the corner you get a little more space.”

“Taken last weekend from my Turret XL in the pouring rain and slushy snow. It was too ugly to sit on a stand, so the KillZone was the only way I was going to go out that afternoon. Thank goodness I’d done some minor repairs to it from last winter’s blizzard and had it set up and waiting…sat for two hours before the deer started coming out…grunted this one away from a doe across the field and shot him just before he climbed in the blind with me…lol.

Thanks KillZone for giving me a dry roof over my head last Saturday!”

The following KillZone customer sent in a picture of his first kill from his new Turret XL ground blind. Here’s what he had to say:

“A few months ago I purchased my blind from you and on the first morning of our turkey season it was raining as we placed the blind at the end of a field. In less than one hour setting and calling from my nice and dry ground blind, we both killed a “double” at just 15yrds from the blind!

Great product…Can’t wait till deer season now!”

Thanks KillZone,
Spencer Judd

What happens when a nationally known hunter takes a KillZone blind into the field? Hunter Mike Roux reports on his success with the 360 KillZone Blind and the 2 Shooter Chair Hunting Blind:

“The 360 KillZone blind performed great in the field. It is convenient and easy to carry and goes up quickly. The 360 degree view really helps on turkey hunts in the timber. The configuration of the net screens and windows is very good and would be great for the archery hunter as well. I also used the KillZone Double Chair blind to film a successful hunt earlier in the week. This blind is a MUST for the hunting video guys. The combination of these two products makes me more productive than any others have in the past. My grade for these blinds is an A+.”

Mike Roux is a nationally known outdoorsman and accomplished outdoor writer. He is currently Regional Editor for Outdoor Guide Magazine and the author of turkey hunting book If You Call Them…They Will Come.

If you’ve ever been on a guided duck hunt with Trophys Unlimited or Delta Duck Hunters, most likely you’ve used one of our blinds. Jay Cranford, a professional hunting guide and owner of Trophys Unlimited and Delta Duck Hunters, gears up for his hunting expeditions with KillZone layout blinds.

For one, these blinds are comfortable for long waits, with extra-thick bottom padding and a thickly padded seat and headrest. They are quick to set up and durable enough to withstand heavy use in the field (which is especially important for a guide service). Plus, they offer the same features and quality of the big name brands, but at a much lower price.

Here’s what Jay had to say about our layout blinds:

“The KillZone layout blinds are without a doubt the best blinds for the money on the market today! One minute setup right out of the box and tough enough to handle the abuse that mother nature and hunters dish out!”
